Celebrating Freedom and Sustainability: GEM's Tribute to India's 78th Independence Day

As India marked its 78th Independence Day, Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM) led the charge towards a greener, more sustainable future. With our three innovative brands backed by Greaves’ 165-year legacy: Greaves 3-Wheelers, Ampere Electric Vehicles, and ELE we didn't just commemorate freedom; we redefined it for the modern era. 

Greaves 3 Wheelers: Pioneering Freedom on Three Wheels

Our Greaves 3-Wheelers made waves with the Greaves ELTRA City, the highest range electric passenger auto with new age energy that embodied our commitment to freedom from pollution and financial dependency. To showcase its exceptional capabilities, we set off on the Freedom Ride - a record-breaking ride from Mysore to Bangalore on a single charge. This journey wasn't just about the distance; it was a testament to ELTRA City's industry-leading range in the electric 3W segment. With this ride, the ELTRA City is now officially a record-holder in the India Book of Records as the first electric 3-wheeler to complete a 225 km ride in a single charge. 

Under the powerful tagline "Greaves Eltra City – Empowering Every Driver," we demonstrated how our vehicles are transforming lives. By providing freedom from pollution and financial constraints, the ELTRA City proved to be more than a mode of transport; it was a path to independence for countless drivers across India. 

Ampere: Uniting India on Two Wheels

Ampere, our electric scooter brand, took Independence Day celebrations to new heights with an exciting collaboration. We proudly partnered with renowned athlete and fitness icon Milind Soman for his Unity Run 3.0, a journey that perfectly aligned with the spirit of Independence Day.  

With Milind, we embarked on an inspiring run from Pune to Naigaon, with our Ampere Nexus scooter as his constant companion. Not only did this partnership symbolise the perfect union of human endurance and sustainable mobility, it also spread a powerful message of achieving freedom from fuel.  

The Unity Run kicked off from our Pune dealership, following a route from Balewadi Stadium to Vasai-Virar fort. Along the way, the Ampere Nexus showcased its reliability and powerful performance, overcoming even the most demanding journeys - without being a burden on our planet nor our savings. 

This collaboration wasn't just about a run; it was about uniting India's past, present, and future. As Milind Soman covered the historic route, the Ampere Nexus represented the cutting edge of India's electric vehicle revolution, highlighting our commitment to a cleaner, greener future. 

ELE: Celebrating 'Made in India' Innovation

At ELE, our electric rickshaw brand, we marked Independence Day with a vibrant celebration of Indian innovation and manufacturing excellence. The ELE plant came alive with a patriotic flag-hoisting ceremony, showcasing the pride and dedication of our workers and engineers. 

Following the ceremony, ELE invited attendees to experience our latest innovation firsthand. We offered free rides on our new superhero e-rickshaw, the ELE EX Lithium with a lithium-ion battery, which gave visitors the opportunity to explore its cutting-edge features. Participants got an up-close look at its smart features including the rear camera, LED front logo & LED roof lights. Other than that, witnessing its powerful performance along with the new stylish decals, stainless steel roof carrier, and experienced the comfort and safety it offers. And that’s not all! 

Before offering free rides to the attendees, we encouraged them to take pledges towards doing their bit towards a greener, cleaner India. This interactive element allowed participants to connect their personal experience with ELE's broader mission of environmental sustainability. Many shared their impressions of the significant benefits and potential savings offered by our e-rickshaws, reinforcing our commitment to both environmental and economic progress. 

As the event concluded, a striking visual of ELE vehicles against the backdrop of the Indian flag served as a powerful reminder of our 'Made in India' ethos and our role in the nation's advancement towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
